Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A young girl with a posy; and Another similar by Georg Roessler. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 663.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Georg Roessler have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2011 the work Bavarian figure smoking a pipe was auctioned for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,129.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young girl with a posy; and Another similar von Georg Roessler zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 663,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Georg Roessler konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2011 die Arbeit Bavarian figure smoking a pipe für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.129,32) versteigert.
