Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathers by Geoffrey Tibble was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,948.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Geoffrey Tibble have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Audition was auctioned for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,363.84).
