Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Geoff Winningham could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gift of Photographs auction, the work Livestock Show, Houston; and Recreation of the Battle of Pork Chop Hill 2 changed hands for USD 140.25 (€ 123.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geoff Winningham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Huggs Grocery, Ulm; and Post Office, Columbus, Arkansas, 1982 in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,927.08).
