In the 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures auction, the work A read in the garden changed hands for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,346.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gennaro Befanio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian At Her Toilette, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66).
