The work Cercle (Circle) by Geneviève Claisse was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Geneviève Claisse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,297.58).

Die Arbeit Cercle (Circle) von Geneviève Claisse wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Geneviève Claisse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.297,58).
