Upper estimate price exceeded by 31 %.
In March last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition - Circa 1945 by Geer van Velde. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,936.00 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Geer van Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 343,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition - Circa 1945 von Geer van Velde zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.936,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Geer van Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 343.500,00.
