This artwork by Gaston Chaissac achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in May last year. In the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction, the work Un viaggio nelle regioni della ragione sold for EUR 50,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston Chaissac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Locataire Du Premier, 1956 in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 299,335.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaston Chaissac erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea wurde die Arbeit Un viaggio nelle regioni della ragione für EUR 50.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston Chaissac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Locataire Du Premier, 1956 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 299.335,00.
