Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Gaston Chaissac was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in December last year. The price achieved of EUR 4,592.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Chaissac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Locataire Du Premier, 1956 in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 299,335.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Gaston Chaissac wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.592,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Chaissac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Locataire Du Premier, 1956 im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 299.335,00.
