Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work A still life with fruits and a vase by Gaston Balande. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,400.00 – 2,300.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,527.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Balande achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Lac D'Annecy in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,461.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with fruits and a vase von Gaston Balande zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.400,00 – 2.300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.527,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Balande erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Lac D'Annecy im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.461,45).
