FIRST EDITION of this collection of imaginary constructions, inspired by the wanderings in France, Italy and Germany by its author, the Venetian painter and engraver Pietro Gaspari, who had realized large decorations for the royal theater in Munich and the Royal Gallery Venice. The large prints are remarkable for incorporating varied elements from Egypt to Baroque, through the Gothic, showing the influence of Piranesi. Berlin Kat. 4183.
