Auction result well in line with expectations

In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Tiger and Dragon by Ganku. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,472.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ganku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiger And Cub in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 128,511.41).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tiger and Dragon von Ganku zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.472,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ganku erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tiger And Cub im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 128.511,41).
