A top price for Ganku - as previously expected
The work Tiger And Cub by Ganku was sold in the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. The price achieved of USD 156,000.00 (€ 128,511.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tiger And Cub is the most expensive artwork by Ganku that we have observed at auctions so far.
