In the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Study of a woman, standing, full-length, her right arm resting on a ledge sold for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,067.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gainsborough Dupont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape With A Peasant Girl Feeding A Dog, With A Goat, Cows And Sheep On A Distant Hillside in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,133.68).
