The »bidding war« ended at AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,252.92), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 24,784.00.

Die Arbeit Milky Way Dreaming von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.252,92) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.784,00.
