Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Le Reve Des Sept Soeurs / Seven Sisters Dreaming, 2010 by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,550.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 24,784.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Reve Des Sept Soeurs / Seven Sisters Dreaming, 2010 von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.550,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.784,00.
