Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gabriel Orozco could be acquired at Phillips in London in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Roots through sidewalk changed hands for GBP 3,810.00 (€ 4,388.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabriel Orozco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dandelion in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 795,000.00 (€ 681,233.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gabriel Orozco konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Roots through sidewalk für GBP 3.810,00 (€ 4.388,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Orozco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dandelion im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 795.000,00 (€ 681.233,93).
