Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In the Park by Gabriel Dauchot was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 660.00 (€ 515.91). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Dauchot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bal Du 14 Juillet, which sold at auction in October 2015 for EUR 1,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In the Park von Gabriel Dauchot im August 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 660,00 (€ 515,91) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Dauchot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bal Du 14 Juillet beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für EUR 1.250,00 versteigert wurde.
