In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A view of Elvas with an aquaduct in the foreground and the Fort la Lippe beyond by G.F. Sargent. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 750.00 (€ 808.76), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by G.F. Sargent have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,347.94) in March 2009 for the work The Convent of St Domingo.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of Elvas with an aquaduct in the foreground and the Fort la Lippe beyond von G.F. Sargent zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 808,76) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von G.F. Sargent haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.347,94) im März 2009 für die Arbeit The Convent of St Domingo beobachtet.
