This artwork by Fung Yat-Fung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work THE PLAY OF PAINT AND TREE sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,848.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fung Yat-Fung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot SPARKLING PLUM BLOSSOMS sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fung Yat-Fung erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit THE PLAY OF PAINT AND TREE für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.848,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fung Yat-Fung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit SPARKLING PLUM BLOSSOMS im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64).
