Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mädchen mit Feuerlilien - Girl with lillies by Fritz Burmann was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,434.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fritz Burmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frau Biene Aus Worpswede, 87 Jahre Alt (Mrs Biene From Worpswede, 87 Years Old) in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 67,810.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mädchen mit Feuerlilien - Girl with lillies von Fritz Burmann im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.434,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fritz Burmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frau Biene Aus Worpswede, 87 Jahre Alt (Mrs Biene From Worpswede, 87 Years Old) im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 67.810,23).
