It achieved a price of GBP 478.00 (€ 715.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz B. Althaus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening Light Over Windsor Castle, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,443.76).

Die Arbeit A shepherd driving his flock through a town von Fritz B. Althaus kam im März 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 478,00 (€ 715,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz B. Althaus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening Light Over Windsor Castle beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.443,76) versteigert wurde.
