Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Farmers With Oxen by Lucien Frits Ohl was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,889.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucien Frits Ohl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch The Cock Fight, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Farmers With Oxen von Lucien Frits Ohl wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.889,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucien Frits Ohl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch The Cock Fight beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
