Despite a disappointment, a good price for Frits Goosen
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work View Of Enkhuizen by Frits Goosen for EUR 1,080.00. This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,300.00 – 1,600.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, View Of Enkhuizen is the most expensive artwork by Frits Goosen that we have observed at auction so far.
