A high-ranking officer wearing a blue dolman with gold lacing over his left shoulder, in red coat with gold lacing and gold collar with blue stripes, fur-bordered cloak over his left shoulder, wearing numerous decorations including the yellow sash and breast-star of the Royal Swedish Order of the Sword (1st class) and the breast-star of the Royal Prussian Order of the Black Eagle, the cross of the Royal Prussian Order of the Red Eagle and the badge of the Imperial Russian Military Order of St. George

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,067.09). Admittedly, works by Friedrich Johann Gottlieb Lieder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jean, Archiduc D'Autriche (1776-1847) in September 2015 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
