The price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 551.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Jakob Hill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Friedrich, Prince of Prussa (1794-1863), circa 1820 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,378.08).
