Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep grazing on the Sussex Downs by Frederick Williamson was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004. The price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,083.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Williamson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle and sheep at pasture; and Sheep resting in a meadow in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,721.72).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.083,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden.
