Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pan Of Rohallion by Frederick William MacMonnies was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick William MacMonnies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nathan Hale in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 271,500.00 (€ 241,634.03).
