This artwork by Frederick William Jackson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July this year. In the British and European Art auction, the work 'A Day of Rest' sold for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,733.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick William Jackson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cows Grazing Among The Trees sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,921.84).

In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit 'A Day of Rest' für GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.733,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frederick William Jackson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cows Grazing Among The Trees im November 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.921,84).
