Despite a disappointment, a good price for Frederick Rondel
When the work No Lives Lost by Frederick Rondel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,638.77). Despite this disappointing result, No Lives Lost is the most expensive artwork by Frederick Rondel that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Frederick Rondel
Als die Arbeit No Lives Lost von Frederick Rondel im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.638,77) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist No Lives Lost das teuerste Kunstwerk von Frederick Rondel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
