In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Ferry by Frederick Morgan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,807.85), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work May I ? in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 974,000.00 (€ 1,044,168.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ferry von Frederick Morgan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.807,85) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Morgan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit May I ? im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 974.000,00 (€ 1.044.168,10).
