Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction British Prints 1850-2004, which included the work St. Botolph's Bridge by Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,188.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work The Almonry (C. 34v) was auctioned for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,366.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Prints 1850-2004 durch, in der auch die Arbeit St. Botolph's Bridge von Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.188,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2005 die Arbeit The Almonry (C. 34v) für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.366,00) versteigert.
