Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Kann could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living with Art auction, the work Cubist Still Life changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,131.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Kann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2009 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,139.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Kann konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living with Art wechselte die Arbeit Cubist Still Life für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.131,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Kann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2009 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.139,21) versteigert wurde.
