Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Judd Waugh could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Monhegan Rocks changed hands for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,095.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Judd Waugh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,612.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Judd Waugh konnte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Monhegan Rocks für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.095,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Judd Waugh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.612,11).
