In May 2004 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA, which included the work A Religious Ceremony by Frederick Hamilton Jackson. The price achieved of AUD 9,560.00 (€ 5,585.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Religious Ceremony is the most expensive artwork by Frederick Hamilton Jackson that we have observed at auctions so far.
