Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Rachel by Frederick Goodall. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,564.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Goodall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trespassers in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 198,400.00 (€ 294,450.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rachel von Frederick Goodall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.564,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Goodall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trespassers im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 198.400,00 (€ 294.450,44).
