Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Goodall could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II auction, the work Time For Prayer changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,129.98) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Goodall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trespassers in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 198,400.00 (€ 294,450.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Goodall konnte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II wechselte die Arbeit Time For Prayer für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.129,98) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Goodall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trespassers im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 198.400,00 (€ 294.450,44).
