This artwork by Frederick Etchells achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2002. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Portrait of young girl sold for GBP 23,900.00 (€ 36,967.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Etchells - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled Vorticist Composition, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 103,250.00 (€ 128,644.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Etchells erzielte im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait of young girl für GBP 23.900,00 (€ 36.967,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Etchells mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled Vorticist Composition beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 103.250,00 (€ 128.644,96) versteigert wurde.
