Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rheims by Frederick Edward Joseph Goff was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Edward Joseph Goff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work London Bridge With St Paul'S Cathedral Beyond, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,357.17).
