Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work A pair of portraits of Friedrich Augustus von Linstow and his wife Antonie Conradine Sophie Juliane Dorothea, née Wernich (1791-1863) with their child by Frederick Christian Camradt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,111.30). Other works by Frederick Christian Camradt have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,370.06) in June 2008 for the work Louise van Dockum (1809-1878), in lilac-coloured dress with ruched bodice and puff sleeves, white underslip, gold necklace and drop earrings, her hair elaborately dressed in ringlets.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.111,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Frederick Christian Camradt haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.370,06) im Juni 2008 für die Arbeit Louise van Dockum (1809-1878), in lilac-coloured dress with ruched bodice and puff sleeves, white underslip, gold necklace and drop earrings, her hair elaborately dressed in ringlets beobachtet.
