Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman of Algiers on a Veranda by Frederick Arthur Bridgman was sold in the The European Art Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,358.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Arthur Bridgman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 901,500.00.

Die Arbeit Woman of Algiers on a Veranda von Frederick Arthur Bridgman wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The European Art Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 28.358,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
