In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work On the Nile, Nubia by Frederick Arthur Bridgman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,590.09), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Arthur Bridgman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 901,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Nile, Nubia von Frederick Arthur Bridgman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.590,09) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Arthur Bridgman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 901.500,00.
