This artwork by Frederick Arthur Bridgman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Abdallah sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,865.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Arthur Bridgman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 901,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Arthur Bridgman erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Abdallah für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.865,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Arthur Bridgman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 901.500,00.
