Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work A Precious Jewel by Frederick Arthur Bridgman was worth GBP 277,200.00 (€ 328,407.13) to a buyer in October 2021. This price was achieved in the auction The Orientalist Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Arthur Bridgman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Cérémonie Des Aïssaoui À Blida En Algérie, which sold at auction in June 2013 for EUR 901,500.00.
