Despite a disappointment, a good price for Frederick Lee Bridell
When the work Wooded Landscape by Frederick Lee Bridell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,938.00 (€ 5,259.52). Despite this disappointing result, Wooded Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Frederick Lee Bridell that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Frederick Lee Bridell
Als die Arbeit Wooded Landscape von Frederick Lee Bridell im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.938,00 (€ 5.259,52) den Besitzer.
