Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The lover's tryst by Frédéric Soulacroix was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,136.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frédéric Soulacroix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Afternoon Tea in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
