In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work During Day'S Last Golden Rays by Frédéric Soulacroix. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,159.53), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frédéric Soulacroix - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Afternoon Tea, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit During Day'S Last Golden Rays von Frédéric Soulacroix zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.159,53) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frédéric Soulacroix mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Afternoon Tea beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30) versteigert wurde.
