Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederic Casemero Terry could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE TRAVEL SALE auction, the work Australian Keepsake, Sydney & Melbourne: Sands and Kenny, 1855. Oblong 4°, (22 x 28.5cm.). Engraved title and 37 engraved plates, (marginal spotting, plates disbound), original blue cloth gilt, g.e. (bottom of spine torn, cover scuffed, extremities rubbed changed hands for GBP 493.50 (€ 796.79) - missing the lower Admittedly, works by Frederic Casemero Terry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Views of Sydney in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,225.11).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederic Casemero Terry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Views of Sydney im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.997,50 (€ 3.225,11).
