Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,137.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frédéric Borgella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Harem, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 2,995.62).
