In February 2004 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Acquiring a token of affection by Frédéric Borgella. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 776.75 (€ 1,159.72), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frédéric Borgella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Harem, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 2,995.62).

Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Acquiring a token of affection von Frédéric Borgella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 1.159,72) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frédéric Borgella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In The Harem beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für GBP 2.115,00 (€ 2.995,62) versteigert wurde.
