Despite a disappointment, a good price for Frederic Amat
When the work Jardi II by Frederic Amat was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,254.76). Despite this disappointing result, Jardi II is the most expensive artwork by Frederic Amat that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Frederic Amat
Als die Arbeit Jardi II von Frederic Amat im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.254,76) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Jardi II das teuerste Kunstwerk von Frederic Amat, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
